Saskatoon/Whitehorse Exchange

Looking for Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth aged 14-17 from the Saskatoon and Whitehorse, to participate in a cultural exchange between Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Whitehorse, Yukon.

From March 21-27, 2018 Saskatoon will host the Whitehorse participants for six days and participate in group activities, sightseeing and local events. The Saskatoon team will then travel to Whitehorse from May 17-23, 2018 for the second phase of the exchange.

This is a FREE exchange program.

Youth must have two valid pieces of ID to participate (Travel Stipulations)

Fundraising, as a team, will be a crucial part of preparing for this exchange.

CRE is excited to jumpstart an intensive Youth Reconciliation Initiative in Tkaronto! Twelve Indigenous and non-Indigenous tYRI leaders will work in teams to deliver a minimum of two workshops per month. Workshops will be delivered in pairs while workshops development will occur at weekly meetings involving the whole team. The program is open to people between 17 and 29 years of age. All youth interested in community education, relationship-building and decolonization are encouraged to apply! Participants will receive a monthly stipend of $200 for a full eight-month commitment.

Wall to Action Collective


CRE is excited to jumpstart the Wall to Action Collective , a mural arts and spoken word project in Tkaronto, ON! We’re inviting youth 16-25 years old to reflect on the 94 Calls to Action and create a mural exploring art as resistance, revival, and reconciliation. No experience is required, food is provided, and participants receive a $100 stipend upon program completion.

Where: downtown Toronto
When: two Saturdays in June and weekly meetings in July and August

Youth will be mentored by professional artists and Elders from both Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities. In addition to the mural, participants will have the opportunity to be published in a zine and perform spoken word at a community launch.
