Projects

In addition to our hallmark exchanges, conference, and Youth Reconciliation Initiative, we run short-term programming from our offices in Saskatoon and Toronto. These opportunities are created specifically for local youth - if you're in Toronto or Saskatoon and want to get involved, check out the Saskatoon and Toronto tabs!

Highlights

Sharing Stories for Solidarity (Saskatoon)

A 16-week transformational leadership program for youth ages 18-29, Sharing Stories invites Saskatoon youth to engage in collective dialogue about reconciliation, solidarity and decolonization through interactive workshops, sharing circles, and field trips. Participants will also have the opportunity to create a short video and zine. Interested? Contact info@canadianroots.ca or apply here!

Wall to Action Collective (Toronto)

Excited to unveil the Wall to Action Collective, a mural arts and spoken word project for Toronto youth! During two months, our crew of Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth will reflect on the TRC's 94 Calls to Action, create their own mural, publish a zine, and perform spoken word at a public launch.
