About the instructor: Acosia Red Elk is an Enrolled Member of the Umatilla Tribe in Oregon.

Acosia is a 10x World Champion Jingle Dancer, International Yoga Teacher, Glass Artist, Cultural Teacher and Wellness Advocate who is known for public speaking/ storytelling, Indigenizing Fitness and teaching Powwow Dance.
Acosia travels the world sharing cultural knowledge, dance and yoga. She is passionate about sharing Yoga with Native people as a way to heal from historical trauma, spreading awareness about the healing benefits of Yoga, movement and the power of thought, and using it daily to release stress and trauma held in the body.
Acosia is the creator of Powwow/Yoga, a fusion practice that braids together Powwow Dancing and Yoga for a well-rounded Workout with an Indigenous approach to wellness
