Alec Carton

Board of Directors - Member

Alec Carton (Ali Tapaquon) is a nêhiyaw First Nations and African person matrilineally from Saskatchewan with paternal roots in Ethiopia.

He is dedicated to helping the revitalization and resurgence of Indigenous ceremonies, languages, and ancestral ways of living. Alec’s purpose is to contribute his gifts towards the resurgence and elevation of ancestral Indigenous ways of being — globally. As a hunter, oskâpêwis, avid reader, and writer, he serves his community on the land, and also contemporarily in his work as Principal and Founder of Tatâga Inc., an Indigenous management consultancy.
