Forrest Eaglespeaker

Program & Community Engagement Coordinator - Saskatoon forrest@canadianroots.ca

Oki! My name is Forrest Eaglespeaker, I am a Blackfoot/Cree/French singer-songwriter, from Calgary, Alberta, Treaty 7 territory residing in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Treaty 6 territory and I am the Program & Community Engagement Coordinator in CRE’s Saskatoon office. I am a singer-songwriter and Multi-instrumentalist under the alias The North Sound, where I use my gift of songwriting to share the stories of my life connecting me to my identity as an Indigenous person that I was separated from at a young age. As I continue to learn and reconnect with my culture, I passionately seek and create opportunities to have a positive impact on the community for vulnerable populations and at-risk youth supporting the youth voice anyway I can. I am very excited to work with the team here at CRE working together to bridge the various gaps present in today’s society.
