Sareema Husain is a Pakistani first-generation Canada currently living in Dish with One Spoon Territory (Tkaronto). She holds a bachelor’s degree in Politics and Communications from Concordia University. Prior to CRE, she worked with the Red Cross as an Emergency Care Worker and with the World Food Programme as a Junior Professional Consultant. Sareema is an avid writer with a passion for cross-cultural exchange and equal representation in the media. In her free time, she can be found exploring trails or being a homebody with a good book and cup of tea in hand.
As a Granting and Development Coordinator, she is looking forward to supporting Indigenous youth in navigating the processes of funding and helping them find their unique voices in advancing reconciliation.
