Sharon Witruk

Director of Operations & Human Resources sharon@canadianroots.ca

Sharon is wolf clan, Kanien’keha:ka, whose family comes from Wahta Territory.  Born, raised and currently living in Dish With One Spoon territory, she has a lived-experience perspective on urban Indigenous issues and the realities of living in two worlds.  She has contributed her efforts, experience and skills to supporting Indigenous social-change organizations for two decades.  Sharon specializes in culture-based program design, administration, implementation and support.  She is a certified adult educator, negotiator and mediator.  Above all else, Sharon values living in balance, self actualization and humble learning for development.

In her down-time Sharon enjoys spending time with her family, camping, crafting, socializing and listening to very loud, very good music.
