The Policy School Intensives are designed to engage Indigenous youth (ages 18-29) in a week-long intensive program where they will learn about policy, influencing change, and traditional governance systems. Intensives will adopt a similar approach to that of a “policy hack-athon.”
Intensives are curated to ensure that participants are provided with a safe learning environment that is accessible to all learning backgrounds, composed of content that is distinctions-based and impactful. Through various evaluative and performance measurement strategies, the program ensures youth will have an opportunity to increase their understanding of the terms, concepts and philosophies of policy development, governance, advocacy, community engagement, and systems change.
